Risk Disclosure Statement

Version 2.1|Last Updated: October 5, 2026|Effective: October 5, 2026 for new accounts; November 18, 2026 for existing accounts

IMPORTANT: READ THIS DOCUMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE PLATFORM. IT SUPPLEMENTS THE TERMS OF SERVICE.

Purpose

Argix Labs is a tool for building, backtesting and exporting trading bots. It does not connect to your brokerage account or place orders. This statement describes the material risks of relying on what you build here: backtest and forward-test results, exported code, and any trading you choose to do with them.

It is not a complete list of risks. You should not trade unless you understand the nature and extent of your exposure to risk.

1. General Trading Risks

Trading securities, cryptocurrencies, foreign exchange and other financial instruments involves substantial risk. You can lose some or all of your invested capital. The degree of risk depends on many factors, including market volatility, leverage, position size and the instruments traded.

  • Past performance of any strategy, indicator, backtest or bot is not indicative of future results.
  • There is no guarantee that any trading strategy will be profitable.
  • Losses can exceed your initial investment, particularly when trading on margin.

2. Backtesting Limitations

Backtest results are HYPOTHETICAL and subject to material limitations.

  • Execution assumptions: backtests fill at the bar’s price, with only the slippage and commission you set. Real orders experience spreads, slippage, partial fills and rejections.
  • Market impact: backtests do not account for the effect of your own orders on the market.
  • Survivorship bias: historical data may exclude delisted or failed assets.
  • Look-ahead bias: a strategy may accidentally use information that was not available at the time of a simulated trade.
  • Overfitting: a strategy tuned until its backtest looks good may have learned the past rather than a pattern that persists.
  • Data quality: historical data from any provider may contain errors, gaps or adjustments.
  • What cannot be modelled: some components cannot be simulated or are approximated. The backtest says so where we know it; the absence of a note is not a guarantee.
  • Regime changes: historical patterns may not continue.

A profitable backtest does not guarantee profitable trading.

3. Exported Code

  • It may leave things out. A target language may not be able to express every part of a bot. Pine Script, for example, cannot enforce an account-wide daily loss limit. The Platform lists what an export omits; a script that omits a risk limit can look better in a backtest than the bot it came from.
  • It may run differently. Another platform uses its own data, fill rules and timing, so the same logic can produce different trades. A Python script runs on whatever data you give it, and a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor on your broker’s prices and MetaTrader’s own fill rules.
  • It has not been compiled or run by us. Argix Labs cannot compile MQL5; an Expert Advisor has been checked as text only. Neither it nor a Python script has been run against your account or environment.
  • It is yours to operate. Once exported, Argix Labs does not run, monitor or stop the code. If it trades live, nothing on our side will intervene.
  • Review and test it. Read the code and the list of omissions, and run it on a paper or demo account before risking real money.

4. Automated Trading Risks

If you run a bot automatically, on any platform:

Speed

Automated code can place orders much faster than a person can react. A misconfigured bot can lose significant money in seconds or minutes.

Compounding errors

A logical error may repeat across many trades before anyone notices.

Extreme events

Automated strategies are usually designed for normal conditions and may behave unexpectedly during gaps, halts or extreme volatility.

Parameter sensitivity

Small changes to parameters can produce very different results.

Outages

The platform running your code, your broker, data feeds or your internet connection can fail, and a failure can prevent orders from being placed or closed.

5. Forward Tests, Paper Trading and Live Trading

A forward test on the Platform is a backtest that runs forward from the day you start it. It is simulated with the same assumptions as a backtest (Section 2), places no orders, and its results are hypothetical. A good forward test is not evidence that the bot would have filled at those prices in a real account, and it can change if a data provider later revises the bars it used.

Forward tests and paper trading share these limits:

  • Paper trades usually fill at the requested price; live trades experience slippage.
  • Paper trading does not account for liquidity constraints.
  • It does not reproduce the psychological effects of risking real capital.
  • Paper results are generally more favorable than live results.

6. Slippage and Execution

  • Orders may fill at prices materially different from expected prices.
  • Market orders are especially exposed to slippage in volatile periods.
  • Limit orders may not fill at all.
  • Stop-loss orders do not guarantee a limit on losses, particularly across gaps.

7. AI-Generated Content

AI features can produce configurations and explanations that are wrong, incomplete or unsuitable, stated with confidence. They are not investment advice. Review every block an AI feature proposes and backtest it before relying on it.

8. Market Data

Market data comes from third-party providers and may be delayed, incomplete, adjusted or wrong. You choose the provider for each backtest and forward test, and different providers can give different results for the same bot. The Platform names the provider behind every result and does not switch providers on its own, but it cannot vouch for the data any provider supplies.

9. Regulatory Risks

  • Trading, and automated trading in particular, is regulated differently in different jurisdictions.
  • Rules may change without notice.
  • You are solely responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

10. Third Parties

Brokers, exchanges, data providers, AI providers and platforms that run exported code are independent of Argix Labs. We do not control and are not responsible for their services or failures. Your relationships with them are governed by your agreements with them.

11. Acknowledgment

BY USING THE PLATFORM, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:

  1. You have read and understood this Risk Disclosure Statement.
  2. Trading involves substantial risk of loss.
  3. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
  4. Backtest results are hypothetical and may differ materially from real trading.
  5. Exported code may omit parts of a bot and may behave differently from its backtest.
  6. Argix Labs does not trade for you. You are fully responsible for your trading decisions and for any code you run.
