Export

Exporting your bot

Take a bot out of Argix as code you run yourself. Open a bot from My Bots and choose Export.

You run what you export

Argix does not connect to a broker or place orders. Once you download a file it is outside Argix: we do not run, monitor or stop it. Read the code and the list of what it leaves out, and test it on a demo account before using real money.

Targets

TargetPlanYou getHow to run it
Pine ScriptEvery planA TradingView strategy (Pine v6)Paste it into the Pine Editor in TradingView and add it to a chart.
JSON specEvery planThe bot itself: its canvas and what each block compiled toKeep it as a backup, or read it into your own tools.
PythonEvery planA standalone script (pandas and numpy only)python bot.py bars.csv, on bars you supply.
MetaTrader 5ProAn Expert Advisor (.mq5)Compile it in MetaEditor (F7), then run it in the Strategy Tester.

On the free plan you can export your one saved bot. Pro exports every bot to every target.

What an export leaves out

Not every block can be written in every language: logic blocks, custom value blocks and a daily profit target, for example. The risk block’s loss limits, drawdown limit, losing-streak stand-down and circuit breaker are written into every export, checked before each entry as the backtest checks them. Each export lists what it did not translate, next to the code. A file that leaves out a risk limit can look better in its own backtest than the bot it came from, so read that list.

The bot’s enforcement mode (in the builder’s menu) decides what happens when something cannot be translated. Balanced exports and lists it. Strict refuses the export and names each part, so you never download a file that is quietly incomplete.

Python

The script reads your bars from a CSV with the columns date, open, high, low, close, volume, oldest first. It prints the signals for each bar and replays a simple simulation. Its indicator functions are copied from the Argix backtest, and our tests run the exported file to check that it signals on the same bars the backtest does.

pip install pandas numpy
python my_bot.py bars.csv # signals for every bar, then a replay
python my_bot.py bars.csv --latest # the latest bar's signals only

It places no orders and connects to nothing. Results still depend on the data you give it.

MetaTrader 5

Argix cannot compile MQL5, so the file has been checked as text only. Open it in MetaEditor and compile it (F7). As exported, the Expert Advisor trades only in the Strategy Tester. It can trade on an account only after you set its InpAllowLiveTrading input to true yourself.

Its other inputs (position size, stop loss, take profit, magic number) start at the values from your bot and can be changed in MetaTrader. It trades the chart’s symbol, so a bot with several symbols is exported one symbol at a time.

Why results can differ

TradingView, MetaTrader and your own data each have their own prices, fills and timing, so the same logic can trade differently there than in an Argix backtest. See the Risk Disclosure.
