Getting Started

Quickstart

Build your first trading bot, backtest it on real historical data, and take the code with you. Argix never connects to your brokerage account.

What Argix does, and what it doesn't

Argix is where a bot is designed and tested. It does not connect to a broker, hold brokerage credentials or place orders. When a bot is ready, you export it and run it yourself, on a platform you choose.

Steps

1

Create your Argix Labs account

Sign up at the registration page. You'll need to agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Risk Disclosure Statement.

2

Build your first bot

Open the Bot Builder. You can wire up signals, filters, entries, exits, sizing, and risk controls as you go—the canvas gives you options for each part of the strategy without locking you into one path on day one.

3

Backtest your strategy

Run a backtest against historical data. Review performance metrics. Remember: backtesting results are hypothetical and do not guarantee future performance.

4

Check what each block became

Press Compile in the builder toolbar. The compile preview shows what every block turned into, and flags anything that will not run the way the canvas suggests.

5

Export the code

In the compile preview, open the PINE SCRIPT tab to get a TradingView Pine Script v6 strategy (Pro). It lists anything Pine cannot express, so you know what the export leaves out.

6

Run it yourself

Paste the script into TradingView and test it there, on a paper or demo account first. Where and how it trades from then on is up to you and your broker.

How the builder stays organized

The builder incrementally constrains the strategy graph toward structural completeness. The backtest classifies nodes into seven component types (table below); validation enforces consistency with that schema when you save and backtest.

ComponentMin RequiredPurpose
SignalOne or moreWhen to look for an entry
FilterAs neededExtra gates (time, regime, volume, etc.)
Entry ruleUsually oneHow the bot enters (market, limit, stop)
Exit ruleOne or moreStops, targets, trailing logic
Position sizerUsually oneHow size is chosen per trade
Risk managementOne or morePortfolio and per-trade guardrails

Important risk warning

Automated trading carries substantial risk. A misconfigured bot can lose money rapidly. When you run an exported bot, start on a paper or demo account and monitor it regularly. See the Risk Disclosure Statement.
